Grand Haven Mens Golf Assoc.

Pat was born in Huntsville, Alabama, on September 8, 1950. He was the youngest of six children, having one brother and four sisters, one sister being his twin.  Football, car racing, and music were some of Pat’s many interest.

Working was something that Pat started at a very young age. At eleven years old, he started delivering newspapers, and later worked at KFC and Martin Industries.  After graduating from Butler High School, he attended Calhoun Jr. College and the University of Alabama Huntsville, majoring in Industrial Management. Pat spent his working career in the chemical industry, with concentration in sales and marketing management. Most of his career was spent in Atlanta, Georgia, where he managed large sales teams. Travel was a large part of his job, taking him to many cities and countries around the world.

In 1981, Pat married Pamela Jones, and was blessed to have two beautiful daughters, Paige and Patrice. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter Layla Grace, who is seven years old. Pat and Pamela attend Memorial Presbyterian Church in St. Augustine.

Pat started playing golf in his forties, and it quickly became a passion. He has been blessed to have had four hole-in-ones, which keeps him on the course, with hopes of another. His most recent success came at Grand Haven’s hole #5 on August 12th.

Retirement is something that we all look forward to, and Pat is no exception.  He and his wife, Pamela, chose Grand Haven in Palm Coast, after looking at many properties from the Gulf of Mexico to St. Augustine. Grand Haven was a perfect fit for the lifestyle that he and his wife desired. Pat is a strong advocate of the MGA. He has served in many board positions at previous clubs. Currently, Pat is the Membership Chairman at the Grand Haven Golf Club MGA, where he enjoys fun and fellowship, with other members. Pat and his wife, Pamela, are looking forward to many years of socializing with the members of Grand Haven.
